Burial at Sea

Leader in Low Cost Funeral and Cremation Services

The All County Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to offer full body burial at sea as a Green alternative to traditional burial.

Sea burial requires an approved wood or metal casket to carry out the burial process, with basic burial containers starting at $200.00. The All County Funeral Home & Crematory staff will prepare the casket to the United States Coast Guard and United States Navy guidelines and will carry out the burial process in approved federal waters. For our proud veterans, the casket will remain flag draped until we reach the burial location. The flag will be presented to the family after the sea burial service has taken place. In most cases, military honors are also available and can be carried out prior to the vessel departing the home port of Jupiter, Florida. Once we have reached the approved burial location, the casket will be gently lowered into the water and released to its final resting place. The exact GPS coordinates will be recorded and given to the family so you have a place to visit and memorialize for generations to come. Upon request, photos of the burial process will also be made available to the family.

This service is offered through our Lake Worth location in Palm Beach County, as well as our Stuart location in Martin County. We are able to offer this service to the communities of Vero Beach, Port St. Lucie, Stuart, Palm City, Okeechobee, Hobe Sound, Tequesta, Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, West Palm Beach, Lake Worth, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Miami and all other communities in the greater Treasure Coast/South Florida area.

For our families that choose cremation, sea burial of the urn or scattering of cremated remains (ashes) at sea is also available. Burial at sea is a service we are proud to offer while most of the area funeral homes shy away from it. Whether you’re a retired Navy or Coast Guard Veteran, a career fisherman, avid boater or just a lover of the sea; this is may be a great option for you or your loved one. All County Funeral Home & Crematory is proud to be one of the few remaining family owned and operated funeral homes in Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast. We are an area leader and are the preferred funeral home for many area cemeteries, churches and hospice organizations. Most of our staff are avid boaters and fisherman with the funeral home owning its own vessel for sea burial services (appropriately named “SeaHearse”); who better to carry out you or your loved one’s wishes? These services may also be pre-arranged for those looking to set up their own pre-arrangements. Please feel free to contact us anytime to answer any questions you may have regarding burial or scatter at sea.
