Obituary for William Alexander Conn, IV

William Conn, known by his friends & family as "Bill" yet self proclaimed as “Custom Conn,” passed away suddenly on January 23, 2018, at the age of 53 years.

Bill was born in Virginia at Norfolk Naval Hospital on May 24th, 1964 and moved all over the United States as a young child. As a young adult, he attended Baldwin County Vocational School where he studied welding, City College of San Francisco where he studied aviation maintenance and then onto Indian River Community College where he completed his welding certifications to further his welding career. After a couple jobs used as stepping stones, he came to work at Knights Enterprises and has spent the past 17 years there and enjoyed it immensely. Bill was very meticulous and extremely proud of his work as a fabricator welder. There were two passions in Bill’s life, first his family and then his work and he was more than happy to discuss either of them with anyone who would listen.

Bill will forever be remembered by Tammie Luttrell, his significant other and best friend of 28 years and Heather Conn, his beautiful & talented daughter. He will also be remembered by his step-daughter Nicole Cantrell, his step-son Michael Cantrell (Heather), his mother Judith Remington (JR), his father Claude Conn (Debbie), his brother Keith Conn (Shannon), and his sister Christine Reddish, his 3 wonderful grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his niece Kristina Conn, his uncle Lynn Conn, his maternal-grandparents Teddi Coch & Richard Loux, and his paternal grandparents Katherine Moore & Turner Conn.

A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 12 pm, on Sunday, February 11th, at Round Island Riverside Park, 2200 South A1A, Vero Beach, FL 32963 and reception immediately following at Katie & Brandon’s house 1866 1st Place, Vero Beach, FL 32962.
