Obituary for Walter A. "The Fox" Reinhardt

Walter A. "The Fox" Reinhardt, 96, passed away on Friday, May 11 at Treasure Coast Hospice House after a brief illness. He was born in Dover, NJ on June 22, 1921 to Carl A.W. and Edith (Grainger) Reinhardt.

After graduating from Dover High School in 1939, Walt joined the US Army Air Corps and proudly served during World War 2 . He was honored to have experienced the S.E.FL Honor Flight to Washington DC in 2011.

In June of 1946, he married "Rusty" Pearl Hunter. He is a former resident of Denville, NJ. He retired from Picatinny Arsenal prior to moving to Port St. Lucie. He was lifetime member of the Elks Club, and the American Legion. Among his many passions were golfing, bowling and poker playing. He could always be found working on a "project" in his workshop. He loved life and lived every day to the fullest. Walter was a true gentleman who was a gifted craftsman, artist and inventor. Friends and neighbors knew that "The Fox", was always willing to help anyone who needed it.

In addition to his wife of 72 years, Pearl Reinhardt; he is survived by a niece, Jacanne "Jackie" Duffy. He was predeceased by his parents and his only sister, Doretta E.R.Kaspers.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 16 , at 11:00 AM at Ballantrae Club House in Port St. Lucie, FL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his honor to the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to All County Funeral Home & Crematory -Treasure Coast Chapel.
