Obituary for Rosemary Palombo

Rosemary Palombo, 51, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed peacefully surrounded by her family, Saturday, August 26, 2017.

Rosemary was born March 25, 1966 in Waterbury, Connecticut to the late Anthony and Florence (Gursky) Palombo of Port St. Lucie, Florida, formally of Watertown, Connecticut. She graduated from Watertown High School, Class of 1984, and worked briefly as a Certified Nurses Assistant before becoming a wonderful stay at home mom to her three children, Raymond, Anthony, and Sara Blanchard.

Rosie, as many called her, was the life of the party, loved by all, who always wanted people around her with plenty of delicious food and laughs. While her children were in school, she was a parent association president, volunteer at the local baseball park, and helper of programs in the Port St. Lucie community alongside her father, who was also an active member of the community. She was also an avid lover of the beach who would spend her entire day there, especially the Fort Pierce Jetty.

Rosie is survived by her children, Raymond A. Blanchard III of New York, Anthony J. Blanchard of Florida, and Sara L. Blanchard of Connecticut, and her beloved grandchildren Ethan and Hailey Peck. Her siblings Chester Palombo, Florence Yurchyk, and Christine Nadeau of Connecticut, Margaret Crowell of Florida, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings James Palombo and Angela Bradshaw of Connecticut.

The family will be holding a private memorial service in Watertown at their discretion, as Rosie will be at her final resting place in the Fort Pierce Jetty in Florida.
