Obituary for Rita Rose Zara Cortese

Rita Rose Zara Cortese was born on the 29th day of December in the year 1930 in Union, New Jersey.
She was the fourth child of eight born to and raised by Anthony and Margaret Zara. Rita married Salvatore Cortese in the year 1954, and they had three children in their eighteen years together. After divorce, Rita relocated to Florida to be closer to her parents and brother William who had moved there earlier on. Soon after she began working at the Coral Ridge Country Club in Fort Lauderdale, where she would stay for the next thirty-five years before retiring in 2007.
Rita will be missed and remembered most for the genuine caring and kindness she freely gave to those who knew her as well as her deep love for and commitment to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers; Samuel and John Zara, sister; Theresa Uslan, son; Paul, granddaughter; Abagail and great-grandson; Truitt.
Rita is survived by her brothers; Frank and William Zara, sisters; Ann Mitchell and Lucy Long, sister-in-law; Lorraine Zara, sons; Anthony and Francis Cortese, six grandchildren; Jesse, Luke, Ruth, Sam, Anna and Kaden, six great-grandchildren; Adriel, Dominic, David, Theron, Lydia and Kinzel.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Rita Rose Zara Cortese will be held at Del Lago Funeral Home, 131 S. Lakeside Drive, Lake Worth, FL, 33442, Thursday, October 19, 2017, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM with a reception to follow from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
