Obituary for Richard Joseph Nigro

Richard (RJ) Nigro, 74, of Hobe Sound, FL passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Martin Memorial Hospital following a long struggle with cancer.

He was born in Queens, NY on November 27, 1942 to Michael J. and Amelia (Campanella) Nigro. In 1980 he met Judith, the love of his life, and his soul mate. They were married 34 years at the time of his passing. Since relocating to Florida in 2001, Richard has worked in the restaurant/bar business in Boynton Beach, on Palm Beach Island, and Jupiter until his retirement. He was respected for his managerial skills as well as his ability to keep the patrons well served and entertained. He is survived by his devoted wife Judith, his loving sister Carol and her spouse John LoCicero of Boynton Beach, adoring nieces and nephews, and caring friends. His six beloved felines will miss his loving care and affection. Richard was predeceased by his sister Joan Pergola and his brother Michael Niles.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday March 7 from 2 PM to 4 PM at the Cambridge Community Clubhouse, 8201 Constitution Drive, Hobe Sound, Florida. 33455. Richard's ashes will be scattered at sea at a later date, in a private ceremony.
