Obituary for Judith Cagas

Judith A Cagas, 74, of Port St Lucie ,FL, entered into eternal life on October 6th 2017.
Judith was born in Jersey City, NJ on October 10th, 1942 to James and Eleanora (nee Touhey) McCullough. She graduated from Our Lady of Immaculate Conception High School in Lodi, NJ and continued on with her education graduating from Bergen Pines School of Nursing in Paramus, NJ.
Judith was married to Donald S Cagas on November 16th, 1974; they were happily married for 28 years before Donald's passing on January 21st, 2002.
Judith enjoyed a successful and fulfilling career as LPN for more than 3 decades. Judith retired from St Lucie Medical Center after 19 years of dedicated service. She loved being a nurse and she had a passion for helping people. When not serving others as a nurse, Judith enjoyed working on a variety of crafts, including knitting and ceramics with her beloved husband. Judith was also a founding member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Port St Lucie, FL.
Judith is survived by 2 children, James S Cagas and Jennifer E Cagas both of Port St Lucie, a granddaughter, Cameron P Cagas of Port St Lucie and 3 sisters, Gail Ayton (John), Joan Woods and Janet Murray (Anthony).
In addition to her husband, Judith is preceded in death by parents.
The funeral service will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be given to Treasure Coast Hospice House. The family of Judith wishes to thank the nurses of Treasure Coast Hospice for the dedication, love and kindness during this difficult time.
