Obituary for James L Scholtka

James Lawrence Scholtka of Boca Raton, FL passed away on Tuesday July 11th, 2017 at the age of 91.

James was born to parents, Clarence and Hazel Scholtka on June 5th, 1926 in Milwaukee, WI.
He was the only boy and youngest of three children. He graduated Wauwatosa High School in 1944 and joined the US Navy. He served his country in World War 2 before being discharged in 1946 with a disability.

James met Iva Lowe in 1976 and they were married May 28th 1977. The couple had no children of their own. James worked for Allis Chalmers in Wisconsin from 1948-1988, when he retired and the two decided to relocate to warmer weather in Boca Raton FL.

James is survived by his wife Iva Scholtka, nieces Carol Darville, Trina (Freddy) Sawyer and Kristina (Adrian) Lowe, nephews Robert (Rosana) Ladik, Richard Ladik, Johnny (Tina) Lowe, Ray (Bessie) Lowe, great nephew Daniel Darville, great niece Natalie Ladik and brother in laws Leonard (Mary) Lowe and Alton Lowe.

He is preceded in death by sister Jean (Fred) Ladik, sister Marion Scholtka, nephew Ian Ladik and brother in law Vertrum (Cynthia) Lowe.

Mrs, Scholtka would like to say special thanks to Dr. Strobis and his staff, the staff at Boca Rehab, the staff at Boca Regional Hospital and the staff at Hospice by the Sea for going above and beyond in giving her husband top quality care.
Also special thanks to close friends David and Gloria Chiodo, Cassie and Julius Krajewski and Colin and Nancy Lowe.

A memorial service was held at Willow Brooke Court at St Andrews in Boca Raton, FL on Saturday, July 15th, 2017 at 3 pm.
