Gary William Bitetti, age 68, of Jensen Beach, Florida, died peacefully on February 10th, 2017.
Born in 1948 in Jersey City, NJ to August Bitetti and Anna L. DeLorenzi. Gary was a graduate of Ridgefield Park High School in Ridgefield Park, NJ. He worked as a transportation specialist and trucking business owner. He lived in Manahawkin, NJ before retiring to Jensen Beach, FL.
He enjoyed fishing, boating, horse racing, and drag racing. Gary served in the United States Army in the 101st Airborne Division as a Specialist Four. He received a Bronze Star Medal for Meritorious Achievement in the Vietnam War. He was a helicopter Crew Chief and Side Door Gunner.
Gary is survived by daughter Brenda Andrews and her husband Robert Andrews of Jensen Beach, FL, step-daughter Chelsea Pordzik of Jensen Beach, grand-children Coryssa , Brendan, and Hunter Andrews of Jensen Beach, Malia and Isabella Riley of Manahawkin, NJ, and great-grandchild Blake Blanchet of Jensen Beach, as well as sisters Maureen Thorson of Washington Township, NJ, and Patricia Grabianowski of Petersburg, NJ, and many cherished nieces and nephews, and loving friend Joseph Messina of Lavalette, NJ.
Gary is predeceased by his parents and beloved golden retriever Beau.
