Obituary for Gary A. Hoogenboom

Gary A Hoogenboom, 71, of Delray Beach, FL, formally from Massapequa, NY, the son of Jogchem and Cora Hoogenboom, passed away peacefully at the Hospice Center located at the VA in West Palm Beach, FL.

He attended Ft Lauderdale High School where he was part of the Flying L’s marching band. He was drafted into the navy December 1st, 1969 where he served until April 7, 1974 after being honorably discharged.

He enjoyed taking his grandchildren to Carvel where he would get a medium vanilla soft serve. His interests included old model cars, learning new things and friends.

He is survived by his sister Lynn Blumbek and her husband Ken and their three children Kathleen, Kristen and Kenny. His oldest son Gary Hoogenboom II, his wife Kaci and their two children Kayla and Kenzie, his youngest son Charles Hoogenboom, his wife Teresa and their five children Alysha, Anthony, Seth, Brianna, and Brayden.

Services will be held at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth at a date and time to be determined.
