Obituary for Frederick G. Fetzner

Fred Fetzner, aka "Captain Fred," died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 8, 2017 in Stuart, FL, at the age of 82. He was born on January 16, 1935.

Left to honor and remember his life, love and gifts are his wife of 44 years, Debra; his seven sons, Jude, Fred, Paul, Tom, Dennis, David and Glen; his daughters, Mary Fetzner and Valerie Charron; his sister Carol Fetzner and 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Fred will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather, and as a cherished friend. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and his family and many friends valued his love of life. He brought joy and laughter to all those around him.

Known for his avid love of the water, Fred had an affection for traveling, especially for trips to the Bahamas aboard his boat, "Tiger Tale."

Fred was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a kind, loving husband and family man, who touched the hearts of many, and was a true blessing to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed and remembered fondly.

A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, March 25, from 1-2 pm at All County Funeral Home and Crematory, 1010 NW Federal Highway, Stuart, FL, with the funeral service immediately following at 2 pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Fred's life.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in memory of Fred Fetzner to: St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
