Obituary for Fernando Aguas

Edgar Fernando Aguas, of Lake Worth, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2017 at the age of 74 years.

He was born in Riobamba, Ecuador to Emma J. and Vicente I. Aguas. He was the fifth of seven siblings and the third son. He emigrated to the United States in 1961 settling in Queens, NY. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and continued to serve in the U.S. Army Guard while having a career as a banker in New York City. He eventually settled his family in West Palm Beach, FL in 1985 and retired from the U.S. Postal Service.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Teresa Aguas. He is survived by his son Christopher J. Aguas, daughter Lisa M. Velez (David) and granddaughters Camdyn and Zoey Velez.

Known for his great sense of humor and wit, he left an indelible impression on everyone he met. There is always a funny story to be told about Fernando. He will also be remembered for his dependability, strength, and love for his extended family. He will be greatly missed.
