Obituary for Donna M McFadden

September 25th 1933 was a sunny warm day in Kent, Ohio. The likes of Ethel Waters, Duke Ellington, and Bing Crosby can be heard coming from the nearest radio. However around 11:30am at 215 South Prospect Street all that could be heard were the cries of a newborn baby girl. Donna Gahring (McFadden) had been born. Proud parents Lester & Pearl Gahring smiled down at their new baby. Donna already had 2 sisters and a brother to welcome her, Dolly, James and Delores (Lester Jr. would come later). Donna had a good childhood with her siblings. She spoke often of “picture shows” and general stores. She spoke fondly of her times growing up. Donna lived a full and happy life. Her life traversed several states, Ohio, Arizona, back to Ohio and ending in Florida. In that time she touched many peoples lives. Donna has been described as fun, independent, and most of all feisty.

Donna is survived by 2 sisters, Dolly and Delores and a brother James, also her 4 children, Les, Debbie, Russ, and Jim. She is also survived by several grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She will be missed by many, and welcomed home by many more. Your body may be gone Donna but your soul will live on with everyone who loved you. Thanks for the memories!
