Donald Arthur Hlavacek passed away on November 9, 2017, under the wonderful care of Treasure Coast Hospice. He was preceded in death by his brother Frank. Don is survived by Judy Lanning Hlavacek, his brother Richard and wife Phyllis and their children Greg and Michelle and brother Frank's children Dale and Michael. He is also survived by brother-in-law Tom Lanning and his wife Linda and their children Melissa, Marissa and Tom and Melissa's daughter Claire and Tom's daughter Ava.

Don spent 30 as a Mechanical Engineer for General Motors, Saginaw Steering Gear and Delphi. He transferred from Midland, Michigan to Decatur, Alabama to help startup of the Saginaw Steering Gear plant there. He graduated from Western Michigan University.

Don absolutely loved to fish, his favorite hobby. He leaves many friends at River Club of Martin County in Jensen Beach, Florida. His wife, Judy, wants to thank everyone for all of the support and encouragement she has received from friends and family through these difficult years.

There will not be a service for Don and he will be cremated. Don would want you to go fishing and drink a beer and remember him in that way.
