Obituary for Delio Stoto

Lake Worth – Delio Stoto,86, departed from this life on May 7th at JFK Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 15th , 1931 in Waterbury, CT and was the son of the late Pietro and Lisette Stoto.

He is survived by his loving wife Nancy of Lake Worth, his son and daughter-in law Mark & Michelle Stoto and his two granddaughters Ashley & Allison Stoto of Oakville, CT. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister Olga Reiser and his brother Anthony Stoto.

After graduating from Leavenworth High School, Del continued his studies at Harford College. He entered the U.S. Army in 1953 and was Honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant in 1955.

Throughout his life, he held various positions as an accountant and in banking throughout the Waterbury area. Del was also owner/operator of Dairy Queens in Waterbury and Rocky Hill, CT. He lived in Waterbury, CT for most of his life, and after retirement Del relocated to Lake Worth, FL where he became a long time dedicated volunteer at Holy Name of Jesus Church, St. Vincent DePaul Society and the VA hospital in the West Palm Beach area.

He was a kind, caring and generous man who even through his challenges always found great strength in his catholic faith. He loved spending time with his beloved family and friends especially his granddaughters who were his pride and joy.

Funeral will be held on Thursday, May 10th at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 345 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach for a mass of Christian Burial. Family and friends should meet at the church as there are no calling hours and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
