The Silver Lining
May we find solace in knowing that her suffering has ceased,
May her beloved soul finally rest in peace.
There are days where we may grieve and mourn,
But, lest we forget the great memories and weather the storm.
May we not tie ourselves to tears and sorrow,
Let us find acceptance and hope for a better tomorrow.
She has left her footprints in the sand and will forever remain with us,
May we fill our hearts with love and comfort ourselves with trust.
Trust that there is a reason for everything, although we may not understand,
During this time, we must uplift one another and keep in mind God’s plan.
The silver lining lies beyond all the grief and pain,
Discover it with time, and smile knowing it is not in vain.
-Shanice DeMorin
