Carol Bartlett Brixius of Lake Worth, FL passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at JFK Hospital on March 10, 2017. She was 87. Born on June 13, 1929 in Boston, MA,
Carol was the youngest of five children born to Albert and Elizabeth Bartlett. Married to Charles Brixius on Thanksgiving Day 1957, the couple moved their family from their beloved home in Edison, NJ to Lake Worth, Florida in 1965 where they operated John's Sundry Shop on Lake Avenue until the late 1970's. Carol also worked at Burdines before retiring. Carol's deep love for her family as a mother, aunt, and grandmother was a source of inspiration and joy that bound family members coast to coast. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband and sons William Cormier and Robert Brixius, granddaughters Cristina Cormier Wilkoff, Jenna Brixius, Andrea Brixius, grandson Brock Brixius, and great-grandson Joseph Wilkoff.
A private service will be held at the Del Lago Chapel in Lake Worth before being interred in the family plot at Forest Hills Cemetery, Jamaica, MA just outside Boston.
